I hosted an Italian craft beer dinner with my friends Maryann Terillo and Elisa Sarno at their Greenwich Village restaurant Bistro de la Gare. Each course was paired with Italian craft beers from quality producers. We raised $350 for the Food Bank for NYC.

Hande Leimer, Rome’s leading wine educator, and I hosted an informal wine tasting at Il Bacocco in Trastevere. We tasted two wines paired with typical products from Lazio provided by DOL and raised €250 for A Chi Serve, a new food rescue organization. For more information, check out my post on the topic.

Chef Sara Jenkins and I presented a sensory journey through the flavors of Rome and Lazio. The seven-course dinner at Sara’s restaurant Porsena was assembled to illuminate the characteristics and concepts of Italian regional cuisine. Dishes were accompanied by cultural and historical descriptions and personal anecdotes. We raised $620 for City Harvest, a food rescue organization based in NYC.

More than 120 gelato and aperitivo lovers gathered for the first Parla Food event, hosted in cooperation with Il Gelato and A Chi Serve. Savory gelato was served with a glass of wine and €1 from each serving was donated to charity. We raised over €120 for those in need.
