Pony Ranch
Adolf and Sandra Fernandez raise two types of champions on their property and Mazzocco has exclusive rights to one of them—the grapes. The other champion, and the vineyard’s namesake, are their miniature champion horses.
Just a stone's throw away from Mazzocco, and visible from our tasting room, the Pony Ranch provides us with zinfandel and petite sirah grapes for our Pony Ranch Zinfandel, Zinfandel Reserve and occasionally, a very limited quantity of Petite Sirah only available to our club members.
This benchland vineyard, located in the heart of Dry Creek Valley, has deep clay/loam, well drained and moderately fertile, rocky soils.
