Monday night our dedicated volunteer, Darlene McInerney, was honored as a finalist for Justin Rudd's Long Beach Heroes Award. Darlene won $1,000 for her work at our shelter. The award is presented annually to "unsung heroes" in the Long Beach community.

Dine with Your Pet Dog in Long Beach! Dogs and their owners came out to Kress Market today to celebrate dining on the outdoor patio. This new policy, approved by the Long Beach CityCouncil, allows restaurant owners to offer patio dining experiences for people and their four-legged friends.
