The Christchurch Internet Exchange (CHIX) is an Ethernet-based
neutral peering point running on switches in Christchurch, New
Zealand.
By peering at the Exchange you agree to provide
routing information about your networks to other Exchange participants
to optimise traffic flows across the Exchange. For more details of

In order to participate in CHIX, you need to be attached to the CHIX
switch, have a router capable of running BGP/4, an AS number and
blocks of IPv4 and IPv6 numbers that are yours to route (at least a
/24 of IPv4 and a /48 of IPv6).
