"When I Ride" - Safety Video

Safety is our number one priority at Portland Streetcar. That’s why we’re excited to release our new safety video as part of the grand opening of the Central Loop extension to OMSI. The video was a collaboration of transportation and safety advocates who wanted to tell Portlanders how to not only navigate around streetcar tracks safely, but to also become more aware of their surrounding as they navigate the city by foot, in a car, on bike and using transit. Gerik Kransky of the Bicycle Transportation Alliance was kind enough to lend his face and voice to the project. You’ll see many situations on city streets presented in an easy-to-understand way and learn what we think is the safest way to get around. Please take a few minutes and view the video. We think you’ll not only enjoy its production value, but also learn practical and valuable safety lessons that will come in handy throughout your day.
