WELCOME TO THE BROAD ART MUSEUM
The Eli and Edythe Broad Art Museum at Michigan State University (Broad MSU) brings a world of contemporary art to the MSU campus and East Lansing and Greater Lansing communities, as well as to visitors from across the state and around the globe.
Join the celebration of the opening of this dramatic new addition to MSU’s campus and cultural landscape.

NOVEMBER 10
Dedication Ceremony
10 a.m., tent adjacent to museum
University and community leadership will celebrate the opening of the Broad MSU.

A Conversation with Zaha Hadid and Eli Broad
11 a.m., tent adjacent to museum
Michael Rush, founding director of the Broad MSU, will moderate a conversation with architect Zaha Hadid and MSU alumnus Eli Broad.

Dedication Reception and Museum Previews
Noon to 3 p.m., tent adjacent to museum
Public celebration for dedication attendees features live music, food, and other activities. Museum previews available for a limited number of guests registered in advance.

Museum Open House
10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
All-day open house features special programs, artists’ talks, art and architectural previews, family and educational events, food and beverages, and live music.
From Conception to Completion
10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Benefactor’s Gallery
A glimpse into the creation of the Broad MSU from conception to completion provides a historical catalogue of documents and images from the project.
Family Art Activities
11 a.m. to 5 p.m., tent adjacent to museum and Education Wing
Art-making activities and interactive experiences programmed by the education department and inspired by the opening exhibitions are offered.
Rocky Broad Ice Cream Guest Take Away
The MSU Dairy Store has created a new flavor, "Rocky Broad," which incorporates Eli Broad's dessert favorite—Oreo cookies.

Live Concert featuring !!!
6:30 to 9 p.m., tent stage
A free concert features !!! (pronounced “chk chk chk”), an eight-member ensemble from Sacramento, California, combining propulsive bass lines, spaghetti western guitars, African polyrhythms, electro-house textures, and Philly soul.
