Just wondering if the Ken Burns effect is one of the options here. If so, I’d like to know if it tends to work smoothly. Great job on these, btw!
A question–do these work when viewed in any browser? If not, what happens when they don’t work? Do the images stay still?
Also, I’d like to ask what the difference is between these plug-ins versus the free ones on WP. I’m assuming these are easier to use and have fewer or no bugs, but wanted to see what you have to say.
Thank you.
Really Beautiful plugin!
Why you don’t have Video Demo?
Thank you! We are working on getting video demos for all of our plugins up this month hopefully.
Video demonstrations are now available for all of the DisplayBuddy plugins here under the ‘VIDEOS’ tab:

Q: Using DisplayBuddy Slideshow in non-widgetized Thesis hook areas.
I went through the training and in setup inside the WP Admin it says that there are two ways to use display buddy:
# Now that you have created a group and added images to it you can display it on your website.
1. One way you can display a Slideshow group on your site is by going to “Widgets” under appearance and add it into your widget areas.
2. Another way to display a Slideshow group on your site is by getting the shortcode snippet from the Slideshow groups table and adding that shortcode to the content anywhere on your site.
I’m trying to add it to a “non-widgetized” hook area (“thesis_hook_header”). Any ideas?
Thanks in advance,
David
If you want to run Slideshow via PHP you can use the do_shortcode function:
codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/do_shortcode
Ex: echo do_shortcode( ‘[shortcode_here]‘ );

Thanks!

Dustin,
Can the slideshow plugin have links attached to each slide/photo? I want people to be able to click on a slide and navigate to a certain page, on or off my WordPress site. If so, does that work in all slideshow modes?
Thanks!
Indeed they can be! Each slide is linkable and captions are also optionally available and may have links within them.
Hi. Is there any way to have displaybuddy appear to as a plug in for a non-0admin user? Currently, I have a need for an editor role to be able to swet up rotating image galleriens, but it does not seem possible to have the plug in appear in the editorial role – just admin. Do not want to give this user full admin privledges just to use displaybuddy.
Any suggestions or ways around this?
Thanks!
Yes, this is possible. If you post in the official support at ithemes.com/support/ we will get that information to you. Thanks!
I’d love to be able to use php in the image link url field to echo the siteurl (as opposed to using an absolute link). As an alternative, entering only the uri portion of the link would work for me.
Neither works at the moment. Is this possible?
Thanks!
