After all was set and done in Newark, NJ on Thursday night at the 2012 NBA Draft, most of the headlines left happy with their new hat, new boss and most of all, a soon-to-be-epic bank account.

That's not the case for Scott Machado, who wasn't drafted despite many people believing he would be selected in the second round.

Machado is a 6-foot-2, 200 pound point guard out of Iona University who is now the most highly thought of undrafted free agent available in many experts eyes. After all, he did lead the nation last year in assists per game with 9.9.

One team that reportedly is showing some interest are the Atlanta Hawks, according to the New York Post. Machado isn't expected to become a key contributor anytime soon (thus the original second round projection), but he could develop into a very nice role player off the bench.

The Hawks aren't exactly the deepest squad at the point, with Jeff Teague as the starter and Jannero Pargo as his replacement. Machado would make a lot of sense, even it's a just a good long look in training camp.
