Welcome to MAP!
MAP is dedicated to expanding quality afterschool and out-of-school time (ASOST) programs and other expanded learning opportunities (ELO) statewide for children, youth, families and communities.
Why Afterschool Matters Afterschool, Out-of-School Time (OST) and expanded learning opportunities inspire and support thousands of Massachusetts children, youth and families every day. From project-based learning to music and the arts to physical fitness and nutrition, OST programs address the needs of the whole child. Yet, only 20% of Massachusetts' 1.3 million school-age children and youth have access to afterschool and out-of-school time opportunities.
For providing quality services, supporting working families, supporting economic growth, strengthening workforce development and keeping kids safe, the answer is simple: AFTERSCHOOL WORKS!
Join the Cause There are many ways to help support MAP and critical public policy efforts around afterschool and ELO. Here's how:

Advocacy Tip Now that formal Legislative sessions have ended for the year, legislators will be spending more time in their home districts. Invite your state Representative and Senator to visit your program and see firsthand the exciting opportunities you are providing for children and youth.
