About GBT
GreenBigTruck.com was begun by Aaron Turpen in 2009 as a source for those in the transportation industry in finding alternative-fueled commercial vehicle information.
Aaron is a former truck driver who now writes around the Web on subjects centering on both passenger and commercial vehicles, including many alternative power trains, fuels and technologies. In doing so, he noticed that there was no central place for truckers and transportation professionals to go to find alt-fuel and EV information as it pertains to commercial transport. Seeing himself uniquely qualified to fill the role, Aaron decided to step in and fill it.
Combining his knowledge of the trucking and transportation industry, his passion for electric and alt-fuel vehicles, and his love of writing, Aaron hopes that those with similar interests will find GreenBigTruck (GBT) useful and informative.
About Aaron Turpen
Aaron drove over-the-road, hauling produce (refrigerated/frozen) and dry goods, in all 48 states. He retains his Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and is licensed to pull doubles-triples and tankers; he has formerly held a Hazardous Materials (Hazmat) certification as well.
Aaron now lives in Wyoming and is a freelance writer on topics including technology, the environment, alternative-fuel vehicles, and more.
