Lobbyist, attorney, political consultant, and Fox News political analyst Jack Burkman defends his previous statement that “Muslims are savages.” On the other side of the ring is Will Coley, Director of Muslims for Liberty.

“Conflict is the essence of Drama” is the rule for this night, and there’s a surprise ending in the last round. Don’t miss it!

(Freedom Feen Neema Vedadi suggested this debate, Freedom Feen Michael W. Dean moderates.)

Muslims are a major problem and they must be dealt with. I don’t trust any of them. They rarely integrate with other races, they smell (particularly during Ramadan and especially when it falls during the summer months), they are ugly (their hair is a awful!), they are boring (they don’t have any fun with drinks or sex), they are tight and untrustworthy with money, they are sexist, they are selfish (linked with their tightness and attitude with money!), they are always complaining in this country when we have given them way too much already (will Bangladeshi’s in particular stay out of our country and stop contaminating our culture – you mess your own country up so you come here and mess ours up too
!), they want far too many rights (you get Christmas off and that’s all you’re getting! Its a Christian country for Christs sake!), their praying gets in the way of their work (3 times during the working hours – and you expect equality during the recruitment procedure – tough on you!), oh and did I mention they are cruel to animals?! We have animal laws in this country but their precious halal beliefs means that we have to make an exception and allow them to cruelly slit the throats of the animals they eat (no matter how much they try to convince you otherwise, it’s a scientific fact, it’s cruel!), and I’ve been to Morocco, an Arab nation (predominantly Muslim), and the most animal cruel nation I have ever been to. I will simply say the Muslim race is the one true evil force and must be banished from this country, and later the world. There will be a civil war soon, I can smell it, and they will disappear….and if they really believe in their so-called religion then why do they care about us, we’re doomed anyway arent we? So get lost and let us be……..go to the next world because you certainly don’t belong in this one. I hate you all.

Sorry, I meant “kook” not “cook.”

After an almost two week vacation from my podcast listening, I was extremely eager to hear this particular episode. However, I was extremely disappointed. The title is very misleading as it had almost nothing to do with “Muslim vs Anti-Muslim.” The cook on the “Anti-Muslim” side was only concerned about headcoverings. Will effectivey blew away all of his supposed arguments. Then he suddenly admits defeat by leaving to watch a football game where women aren’t even allowed to play. I hope that next time you attempt a show like this one you get someone who at least knows a bit about the religion to argue the “anti” side. Kudos to Will for making intelligent and thoughtful arguments while the other guy made a jackass out of himself.

I suppose the next time around maybe you should help
the anti-muslim guy cheat a little. Here’s a big tip,
download an english Koran, F3 search for “Jews”, and
work from there. If you can’t find something for the
average white euro to be offended by in that selection,
    you just aren’t trying. spacer

When I heard Jack Burkman leave to watch his football game, all I can think of is Eric Cartman: “Screw you guys, I’m going home!”

In this discussion, Will comes across as intelligent and well educated while Jack comes across as an uninformed hate-filled bigot.
To Jack’s point about a culture being savage because women have to cover parts of their body that men don’t have to cover, I say fine Jack. Let me know the next time your wife goes swimming in a public pool. I bet she covers parts that men don’t cover. Is she a savage?

Will was way too intellectual for this guy. Maybe next time Jack should debate a Taliban, since they both want to force people to be like themselves…

For extra lulz you should get a diehard mormon to argue a non
mormon about the whole “Temple Garments” issue. That gets so
heated that it makes these two sound like they’re discussing the
    best fishing bait.

Although, I did once see two 70 year old men about to beat each
other down over the grubs vs minnows vs worms thing.

It’s funny that Jack Burkman kept saying Will didn’t understand his point… seemed like Will understood it instantly, refuted it pretty succinctly, and Jack just kept finding new and predictable ways to ignore that fact.

I don’t know how you can say that the role of a tyrannical state is not relevant to the shaping of a society. If I had to guess I’d say he was avoiding admitting that it’s his Party supporting a lot of the savagery.

Just finished listening to the cast, I have a few observations:

Next to Will, Jack really appears to me to be no better in behavior or intellectual credibility than Bill O’Reilly. He came off as a bully and used lots of rhetorical misdirections.

For example, when he asserted that muslim women are coerced to wear hijab, Will brought up the point that this is a coercion that originates with the State (Saudi Arabia in this example) and is not endorsed by the religious beliefs or traditional culture among muslims. Jack essentially hand-waved away Will’s point by saying he didn’t want to talk about politics, and that was irrelevant.

It seems to me his debate plan boiled down to, “Assert savagery, avoid deep discussion, misdirect when rebutted with sources or evidence. If meltdown is imminent, claim a football game as an excuse to leave the conversation.”

Good job Jack, you followed the plan perfectly.

I am a Christain American and I agree with you Layla! How is it possible to be considered a savage by being more modest and respectful than others? It seems people like Mr. Burkman are raised to be arrogant bullies. I am glad that many people realize his views are not shared by the majority.

That Jack is incredibly ignorant. He clearly does not know Muslims or what Islam is about.

I’m a Muslim woman, born and raised in an American Christian family, and I wear hijab…. because I want to. Not because anyone forces me to…. not that anyone can force me to do anything I don’t want to do anyway spacer

I find it liberating and sophisticated to be fully dressed out in public. I find men and women who walk around nearly nude to be far more savage than those who cover more of their bodies. Animals walk around naked… the first thing Adam and Eve did when they discovered their nakedness was to feel shame and cover it up spacer
