MOOC MOOC is a massive open online course that seeks to investigate, disarm, dissect, reinvent, and get imaginative about massive open online courses. In August 2012 and January 2013, we examined what MOOCs are, where learning happens in (and not in) MOOCs, participant pedagogy, how assessment happens in MOOCs, and why we're so interested in this latest educational strategy. MOOC MOOC participants work both inside and outside of Canvas, with Twitter chats, collaborative work in Google Docs, and more. Connectivist in nature, MOOC MOOC works to place learners alongside learners in an inspection of the nature of online learning. Click here to see the archive of course material.
During November 2012, Hybrid Pedagogy partnered with the English and Digital Humanities program at Marylhurst University to offer up a (somewhat) insane month-long writing challenge called Digital Writing Month (DigiWriMo).
Missed the fun and can't wait until next November? See what came of our experiment here and here. And we hope you'll encourage your students, colleagues, friends, neighbors, dog-walker, and everyone else to write with us next November! Follow @digiwrimo and @digitalenglish for updates.
