Comic Con Bingo!

Just in time for Comic Con (and I do mean just in time), we have posted our very first web comic, Comic Con Bingo!

spacer

We've even included a PDF version for anyone who wants to print it out and take it with them to Nerd Prom.

Sadly, we will NOT be having a table at this year's Comic Con International (so stop asking). Basically they ran out of space in Small Press and it was too late to apply for Artist Alley. However, nerds that we are, Team Moxie will be walking the show floor on sliding door wardrobes Saturday selling books guerrila style out of our bags. Try to find us before security kicks us out!

Just shake your rump

The images below are my excuse for never updating. We're working on a new book called Dropkick Detectives. I believe that the first place it will be available for purchase is going to be at Heroes Con in Charlotte. If you live in the south come by Artist's Alley and say hello.

Journey Into Misery!

Just dropping a quick line to let everyone know that we've kinda launched The Official Website of the Joshua Cottingham & Stephanie Lantry series Journey Into Misery. Do get on the mailing list.

Hooray for us.

So we sold about a hundred copies of Journey Into Misery at WonderCon. That makes me all kinds of stoked. A big thanks has to go out to the guys on both sides of us though. Cheeks, Jonboy, Mike from Ronin Studios, along with Joffrey Suarez and Iron Umbrella Media to the right of us. They all had great stuff and our tables had a lot of cross traffic because of it.

Anyways, Stephanie and I are now prepping for Wizard World so if you're in the Los Angeles area March 18-20th drop by and say hello. Stephanie will be doing sketches and we'll not only have copies of the book, but we'll also have color prints of the cover.

Fake and Bake

Hello everyone, as you can see I have not made an entry in a while. This does not mean I have croaked or been laid up in the hospital. Instead it means that life goes on after the Race and ours has certainly been no exception. Since I last posted I was transferred to Santa Barbara Juvenile Hall from the Los Prietos Boys Camp and then after a short time transferred back to Los Prietos Boys Camp. Hey what can I say they love me! I painted the house and most recently helped Josh move to his new secret lair. Josh being the good son that he is, asked me if I would help him with the move and me, being the good dad that I am, said yes.

Well my good son neglected to tell me that he was moving from a ground level apartment to a third story apartment WITH NO ELEVATOR. By the end of the day I self diagnosed myself with a hernia, collapsed lung and two serious knee injuries. Thank God he had asked some of his very good friends to help us. At one point I had to feign incapacitation to keep from walking up the stairs any further, (yeah I'm still sneaky). Anyway he now has a new place to live with a very pretty roommate, thats my boy. Right now I am on vacation with the wife and we are doing almost nothing which is all I want to do right now, are you seeing a theme here?

We recently found out that old episodes of the race will be rebroadcast on the Game Show Network. So please, if you really hated us do not resend the hate mail that you sent before. However, if you loved us duplication is OK.

Ham Up to all my peeps out there.

Throw up the horns!

First off, I saw the end of the Amazing race and what can I say? I sort of saw that coming. I was really beginning to like the second place team as they were always calm and never lost it with each other ( a very good sign of calm under fire ). Anyway this group (with the exception of Demon Boy and the yelling husband) was a little boring> (This is no slam on those racers on the show, as it's more of an editing problem). Most of the good stuff with Josh and me was never on the show. Thank God. Thought the China touch was great, and I loved seeing the inability to converse with the people there. Anyways, I still love the show and am glad to see it is coming back right away, this will keep the viewers hooked. For all you AR 6 racers out there, now you see what we have said all along, editing can make or break you on this show. Enjoy yourself for awhile and bask in the fun of it all. I will root for you at the Emmys.

I love chicken, I love liver...

I have noticed that the kid has not entered much in the way of info here on the site. I have to say that I am a little surprised as we're nearly half way through another race. So I will give you my personal observations and views. Let me tell those of you that dont know me and remind those that do, that I am really terrible with names. Hey, ask the kid. All their lives I have called him and his brother by each others name. I think they believe that it's intentional. Who knows? Maybe it is. Anyway here are my thoughts on the teams. (If the teams are reading this they should ignore it.)

Lets start with Hellboy and his girlfriend. I like the kid, he sort of reminds me of Josh. But his girlfriend reminds me of a girl that Josh dated for awhile, ( shes gone now thank God). I'm not too keen on her. This girl (like Hellboy's girl) was needy and full of herself.

Now the yellin guy and his knock out wife. Hey shes a cutie, but whats she doing with a guy that wears a hat like the one he had on the last episode? He looked like a smurf. Looks like Queer Eye for the Straight Guy made this guy over and did a bad job. By the way fella, stop yellin at your pretty wife, or shes gonna kick your ass. You said you wanted kids but I can tell you from experience, this is not the way to get them.

Bolo, yeah I remember his name, but I have always been a wrestlin fan. I sort of like this guy, and his wife is really kinda neat too. I dont love em but I really like em. When they are together they are sort of like watchin two Rhinos mate, only she is much prettier.

The old folks home escapees are pretty fun to watch, but they need to knock off the smootchin because its startin to get to me. I predict she out lives this guy by about 40 years. She really is pretty good at the game but the old guy looks as though hes just laid off the Kools before the show

Hera and dad, here is the team I wanted to really like and sort of do. They just seem to get by. I really liked the seasick part, and the shirtless ride in the car. Very impressive, in an odd sort of way.

The rest well, I cant remember their names and I am not sure that I care. They are smart, fast, strong, pretty and unimpressive. Hey who thinks anyone of the rest cant win? Why would anyone think they could beat them in a race? Who knows but I only hope someone does and one of the above would be awesome.

Oklahoma where the wind goes sweeping downt he plains...

Well folks as you read the little soliloquy to a cheese sandwich written by my boy there, I want you to note one thing. He is an Okie. Yep I have been telling people all of his life that he is an Okie, He was not born in California but in a small town in Oklahoma. As you can see I now have proof. No one but an Okie would put that much work into the wonders of a cheese sandwich. I have to admit I was drooling as I read the story and would run to make myself a grilled cheese sandwich if I had not already eaten all the American cheese just prior to reading the story. The only problem with my proof that Josh is an Okie is that he mentions that there are any other real cheeses besides American and Velveeta. It must be all that time in California. Oh well. Sorry I don't have any real cool pictures of my lunch but next time you go to the store, look at the Velveeta rack and think of me
