Teepee Life in Pictures

by robin on September 20, 2011

A lot of people have been asking for photos of my teepee, so I finally took some today. Believe me, I’m hardly roughing it. This teepee has electricity, a waterbed, even wifi. By 19th-century Great Plains standards, it’s downright luxurious. Enjoy!

How many teepees do you know that have vaulted ceilings and a skylight?

Very nice. Do you feel like you’re outside or inside when you’re sleeping in it? When I go camping, I always feel like I’m outside even when I’m sleeping in a hilary tent, but I could see this being different.

It definitely feels like sleeping outside, but it’s somehow a little bit cozier.

So why are you living in a Teepee? I couldn’t find that in the article. spacer

It’s only temporary. See: robinoula.com/on-my-mind/future-self-to-me-take-the-job-and-the-teepee/

O.K – I just can’t help but add my snorty-laugh, smart-assed, taped-glasses, nasal-pitched comment: …um, I do believe all teepees have vaulted ceilings and skylights *snort*snort* not to be confused with the wigwam or plankhouse. spacer
