Progress continues as IT resources and functions align in response to the IT Tactical Plan Task Force recommendations and the President’s call for action to identify and secure a more sustainable financial model for Illinois State University. In terms of direct impact to Administrative Technologies, plans are being developed to move all teams to Julian Hall. Current projects have been documented and the status of each project will be updated by April. As the organizational structure develops, we are considering strategy, design, transition, operation and continuous service improvement. We remain focused on creating a mature and lean IT team that is able to provide localized and centralized support to our customers. Information will continue to be shared as the merger advances.
The initial draft of the Student Information System (SIS) Request for Proposal (RFP) is complete and in the hands of the LEAPForward Steering Committee for review. In tandem with this effort, the Business Intelligence (BI) team is collaborating with several units on campus to provide access to data and information necessary to make more informed decisions for the University. The Architecture Management Office (AMO) is also hard at work getting the word out and raising awareness of LEAPForward while also maintaining project plans and ensuring the initiative stays on track.
