Eat lunch in the student center. Soak in the atmosphere on the Quad. This is your chance to see if Illinois State is a place where you want to live and learn.
Open Houses, held several times throughout the year, are probably the best way for you to learn and see more of Illinois State.
Information sessions are offered most weekdays, Monday through Friday throughout the year, and on scheduled Saturdays from September through April.
Sessions are also available in Spanish. Register now for an information session and walking tour. Both will be presented in Spanish.
Sesiones tambin estn disponibles en espaol. Regstrese ahora para una sesin de informacin y de tour a pie. Ambos sern presentados en espaol.
These sessions are designed specifically for students interested in transferring from a two-year community college or a four-year college.
Campus Information Sessions and Open Houses typically include a residence hall tour option. You may visit East Campus (Hewett and Manchester Halls), Watterson Towers, West Campus (Haynie, Wilkins, and Wright Halls) during the hours listed below. Additionally, a show room is available during these times in the Community Center of the new Cardinal Court student apartment complex, which houses primarily sophomore students.
Monday-Friday | 11 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. or 2-3:30 p.m. |
Saturday | 11 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. |
Please stop at the front desk of the hall you would like to see and a tour guide will be happy to assist you. Appointments are not necessary Monday through Friday during these scheduled hours. To make an appointment on Saturdays outside scheduled hours, please call University Housing Services at (309) 438-8611 by 4:30 p.m. on the Friday before your visit. For more information about living on campus, visit Housing.IllinoisState.edu.
While you're on campus, you are welcome to dine at either of our dining centers or restaurants in the Bone Student Center. All of these venues accept cash and credit/debit cards. The cost is $6 plus tax for breakfast and $8.50 plus tax for lunch in the dining centers.
Additionally, you may visit the dining centers for a tour. Please check in at the register and a campus dining representative will be available to show you around at the times below:
The Marketplace at Linkins (West Campus) | 11 a.m. - 12:30 p.m., Monday-Friday |
Watterson Dining Commons (Watterson Towers) | 2-3:30 p.m., Monday-Friday |
If you are unable to participate in the above options, you may schedule an appointment with an admissions representative.
