Student Champions
The Student Digital Literacy champions offer a FREE service to support staff and students with any area of digital literacy. This could be help setting up a social media account, to developing their online identity or even just supporting them using a computer. They are funded as part of the Digital Literacy project which runs from January to July 2012.
There is a Digital Literacy Special Interest Group on Facebook which covers all the aspects of the project including the student champions.
The Student Champions are:
Student Digital Literacy Champions
George Georgiev – can help with design, creating content, using online presentation tools like Prezi and other software
Marina Sakipi – can help with personal identity (online personal brand)
Panos Grimanellis – can help with using cloud computing, Google Docs, etc
Hamed Ayhan - blogs, design and social media
Sam Su – is interested in helping people to understand how Chinese Social Networks are used
Kagwe Mungai – General basic IT and social media
The students will be running support sessions either as a group or on a one to one basis. Please look out for further information on these sessions or contact Fiona Harvey if you would like to find out how the students can support you.
