Professional Bartending Schools of America is a nationwide group of individually owned and operated, state-licensed bartending schools in the USA.
We don't believe that being a professional bartender is a job that can be learned by video, online program or at home sitting on your couch! We work hard to fully prepare our graduates for a career in mixology, whether it be at a nice local neighborhood bar or the fanciest hotel or nightclub in town. Their success is our company's reputation!
Professional Bartending Schools of America now includes 36 state-licensed bartending schools nationwide. Our 36 bartender schools trained over 10,000 bartenders in 2009. We view a bartender's job as a professional career and only offer hands-on training behind a fully-equipped bar in a permanent school facility.
We offer one, two and five week bartending courses during the day, evening and weekends. PBSA offers our graduates local, nationwide and online job placement assistance. Our classes include Anheuser-Busch and Guinness beer training, along with responsible alcohol certification.

In addition, the President of our company, Roger Oldham, is a four-time winner of the best bartender in Ohio contest, and has twice finished in the top ten in the world at Disney's "Quest for the Best Bartender in the World" contest held each year in Orlando, Florida.
Many bartending schools make claims, but we back ours up with a proven background in the food and beverage industry.
This year, our newest campuses are New York City and Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The New York Bartending School, Inc. has campuses in Manhattan, Long Island and in Fort Lauderdale. They take great pride in having professional, well-equipped classrooms and full-time job placement directors. PBSA now offers online responsible alcohol certification. Texas customers may get TABC certified in as little as four hours and print out their temporary certificate immediately. Our TABC program is approved by the State of Texas. Click on the TABC Certification link here or on the main menu.
We also have a new affiliated Dallas bartending school, the Premium Institute of Bartending. The Premium Institute is located just north of Dallas and serves Dallas, Fort Worth, Addison, Lewisville, Flower Mound, Irving, Arlington, Garland, Carrollton, Richardson, Keller, Denton, and more.
PBSA has now listed many of our quality affiliated schools. These approved campuses don't teach our copyrighted program, but they do offer quality education and placement assistance. We offer reciprocal job placement assistance to each other's graduates.
2008 brought the Boston Bartenders Schools in Cape Cod, Saugus, & West Springfield, Massachusetts, Hamden, Waterbury and Wethersfield, Connecticut. These Connecticut bartending schools bring our total bartending school locations in Connecticut to five.
We now have quality affiliated locations in Chicago, Dallas, Fort Worth, Oxnard, Fairfield, Portland, Seattle, Tacoma, Virginia Beach, Woodbridge New Jersey, White Plains, Syracuse, Rochester, Buffalo and Manhattan, New York.
2008 also brought affiliated bartending schools in Los Angeles, National Bartenders School. National Bartenders operates 5 quality bartending school locations in Los Angeles, Costa Mesa, Hollywood, Lakewood, Orange County and Santa Monica. These bartending schools in LA first opened in 1984.
The Crescent Casino Gaming, Bartending and Hospitality School is our latest affiliate school to join PBSA. Crescent Schools offer Poker Dealing, Blackjack, Roulette, Craps and Mini-Baccarat classes along with bartending and Hospitality Management classes. Crescent operates state-licensed schools in Las Vegas, Nevada, New Orleans, Louisiana, Gulfport and Tunica Resorts, Mississippi. Wisconsin Bartending License - Offers an online alcohol server training and certification class that is approved by the Wisconsin Department of Revenue. Wisconsin certification is commonly called a Wisconsin Bartender License.

Minimum Age to be a Bartender:
The minimum age required to attend our classes is eighteen. You may find out the required age to tend bar by state in the drop down menu below. The mandated state age may be over-ridden by a stricter city or county ordinance. Check with our local campus for your area.
