Cleo #1453
Hello! My name is Cleo. I was given a second chance at life when NERR&R brought me into their program in October of 2009. Since then I’ve been busy winning the hearts of people I meet at NERR&R fundraising events, especially at our monthly Rottweiler Days in Keene, NH. If I do I say so myself, I am the perfect ambassadog for the breed!

I am your typical Rottie girl who loves being around her people. I'm a real Velcro dog and am pretty laid back. I am always gentle around everyone, but especially around the little people. I love giving kisses and leaning!

I love to snoop too. I poke my head in to check on my people in the kitchen or in the bathroom – even in the shower. When a door is closed, I butt it with my head to open it! I love to grab towels and shake them just for fun. If anyone brings boxes into the house, it is my job to sort through each one and inspect them because I am a natural born shopper.

While I've been busy enjoying my life in foster care, I was recently diagnosed with Cancer. On November 15, I went to New England Veterinary Oncology Group (NEVOG) in Waltham, MA for further diagnosis. It was confirmed I have what is called an Oral Malignant Melanoma, which is in Stage 1. The fact that it is a Stage 1 Cancer means with treatment, my prognosis is very good.

The treatment I require consists of a CT scan, 4 treatments of Radiation, in addition to 4 treatments of the Melanoma Cancer Vaccine, chest radiographs, and additional booster vaccines. My foster mom is committed to driving me from NH to MA for my treatments. But the cost of my treatments is very expensive, so I am asking for your help!

Every little bit helps. Whether you can donate $1 or $100, it all goes towards helping me beat my Cancer!

NERR&R has created a Chip in link to make it easier for you to follow my progress, and for everyone to share my story. I am full of life and ready to fight this battle with your help. So please feel free to share my story far and wide!

THANK YOU to my foster homes and to NERR&R for giving me a second chance at life, to all of the volunteers who have made it possible for me to be here, and finally to each and every one of you for taking the time to read my story!
