Citizens Bank Foundation Presents Grant to Drexel as Part of Growing Communities Initiative
PHILADELPHIA, March 1, 2013
The Citizens Bank Foundation today announced a partnership with Drexel University to launch Growing Communities, a new initiative that is designed to impact neighborhood revitalization, create jobs, and increase financial literacy in West Philadelphia. The announcement was made during an open house at the University’s Dana and David Dornsife Center for Neighborhood Partnerships, where Citizens Bank and RBS Citizens President and CEO Daniel K. A Philadelphia Witness to Hunger Takes the Spotlight in a Documentary Film on Hunger in America

Drexel University's public health research into the health effects and complex causes of hunger and food insecurity are prominently featured in a new documentary film, A Place at the Table. The film profiles Barbie Izquierdo, a participant in Drexel's "Witnesses to Hunger" program and includes expert commentary from Dr. Mariana Chilton.

Drexel Offers Free Workshops to Help Female Veterans Rejoin the Workforce

Falling Eggs Take Center Stage at Drexel's Celebration of National Engineers Week

With Philadelphia Flyers tickets on the line, students and faculty will compete to see whose eggs can survive a 28-foot drop into a landing zone as part of Drexel’s observation of National Engineers Week. The annual egg drop competition will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 20 on the third floor atrium of the Bossone Research Enterprise Center and is just one of a variety of events hosted by the College of Engineering throughout the week.
