Minimalist Logos for Web Companies (Based on Vintage Japanese Cameras)
Posted on 05/03/2013 by cravn
Turkish design firm Antrepo was inspired by the minimalist, line-based logos of vintage 35mm SLR Japanese camera brands when creating this collection of pared-down logos for web brands like YouTube, Google, and eBay. The logos served a practical purpose on cameras from the 19070s and 1980s–they were easier to apply to the metal camera bodies than a more complicated logo, cutting costs. For these famous web companies, printed to look like they’re etched into brushed metal, they just look cool. You can see the full collection on Flickr.

Life Cycle of a Drop of Water
Posted on 04/03/2013 by cravn
The video depicts the revolutionary nature of the life cycle of a droplet of water and it’s cyclical journey. The project was a three-fold collaboration between myself, Helen Friel and Jess Deacon. From the original idea, through the creative development and process, our individual skill sets enabled the project to spring to life.
A film by Chris Turner, Helen Friel and Jess Deacon

1,200 Minifigure Lego Office Wall by Acrylicize
Posted on 02/03/2013 by Mr_Andersen
’
The folks at Qubic Tax are one of the least likely companies we’d expect to use LEGOs in their office decor, but that’s exactly what the team at Acrylicize had in mind when they spruced up this work space. The designer used over 1,200 minifigs in the tax office, using each LEGO piece to represent the fact that everyone pays taxes.

Banksy Street Art Turned into Animated Gifs
Posted on 28/02/2013 by cravn
For his series Animated Banksy, Tumblr user Made By ABVH has taken images of some of Banksy’s most iconic artworks and turned them into animated gifs. It’s interesting how just a little bit of motion seems to add emphasis to the message in each piece.
