About

I fell in love with fiction through music, Joan Didion’s Play It As It Lays via Lloyd Cole & The Commotions’ Rattlesnakes specifically. Music still inspires my writing.

Flipside Fiction is my attempt at creating a literary version of the seven-inch single.

Flipside Fictions are short stories bookended by song lyrics. In keeping with the seven-inch motif, stories are limited to 333 or 450 words, a nod to the format’s standard playing speeds.

All Flipside Fictions are written by Sean Z., unless otherwise noted.
