We are an organization that encourages the research, education, cultivation, hunting, identification and the cooking of mushrooms. With over 1,200 members, PSMS
is one of the largest mycological societies in the country.
We share our knowledge about mushrooms through meetings, classes, workshops and field trips.

Sat., March 16 – 6:30pm – Polish Home
We gather each year in March to congratulate ourselves for making it through another season of finding, identifying, cooking, and eating mushrooms. This is also our annual business meeting when our newly elected officers and trustees are presented.
The theme this year will be "Clothes for the Complete Mushroom Hunter," so please come dressed in your finest foraging outfits for the field and forest. To provide more space this year we are moving our event to the Polish Home Association 1714 18th Avenue, just off E. Madison St. on Capitol Hill. See their website for directions. The social hour will begin at 6:30 pm followed by a potluck dinner at 7:30 pm.
You must purchase a ticket in order to secure a seat at the banquet. Tickets are $5/person, which you can buy online on our Event Registration page.

Are you interested in taking better mushroom photos? No matter your experience with mushrooms and photography, you are welcome to join us for the beginning of a tradition. There are always mushrooms out, even if there are none to eat, so don't worry about not having any photographic subjects!
We will meet at a City of Seattle park, which will be given to you in your registration confirmation email.
