How to change Driver License address
We take your privacy seriously.

If you are registered to vote where you currently live or if you do not wish to register to vote or request an absentee ballot, you do not need to proceed.

Voter address must be same as Driver License address.

In order to register online to vote, your address must match the address on file with the Driver License Division.

If your driver license address is not current, please update your address with the Driver License Division. This must be done before submitting your online voter registration.

UPDATE DRIVER LICENSE

After updating your address please allow 24 hours before returning to register to vote online.

If you address is not current with DLD you may still use the online voter registration system, but you will be required to print the voter form with the correct address, sign it and mail it in.

Registering to vote or declining to register to vote will not affect the amount of assistance a public assistance agency will provide Voter registration information is public information with the exception of the driver license number, social security number and email address. Utah Code 63G-2-301 and 302

Valid Photo ID required when voting

In order to be allowed to vote you must present valid voter identification to the poll worker before voting, which must be a valid form of photo identification that shows your name and photograph, or two (2) different forms of identification that show your name and current address.

Absentee voters casting a ballot for the first time in Utah must include a copy of their identification when returning their absentee ballot.

PLEASE NOTE

If you are qualified and the information on your form is complete, your county clerk will mail confirmation of your voter registration to you.

DEADLINE:

This form must be submitted online at least 15 days before an election to be eligible to vote in that election. If this form is sent by mail, it must be postmarked at least 30 days before an election to be eligible to vote in that election.

NOTICE:

In accordance with section 20A-2-401, the penalty for willfully causing, procuring, or allowing yourself to be registered to vote if you know you are not entitled to vote is up to one year in jail and a fine of up to $2,500.
