Mike Unger

Michael Unger is a solo practitioner whose firm, Unger Law Office, is in Minneapolis.  He has a wide range of experience in civil litigation, but now focuses his practice on representation of plaintiffs in serious personal injury, wrongful death and medical malpractice actions.  An honors graduate of the University of Minnesota Law School, Mike clerked for then U.S. District Judge Diana Murphy following graduation.  Mike is certified as a Civil Trial Specialist, is listed in Best Lawyers in America, and was named three times as Attorney of the Year by the Minnesota Lawyer newspaper.  He is a past president of the Hennepin County Bar Association.  Currently, Mike is Secretary of the Minnesota State Bar Association, Vice Chair of the Minnesota Lawyers Professional Responsibility Board and an adjunct instructor at the University of Minnesota Law School.

Jake Smith

Minnesota Litigator Guest Poster Jake Smith is an associate at the Law Office of Robert M. Smith in Minneapolis where he practices primarily in small business litigation. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan and his law degree from William Mitchell College of Law in 2011. Jake is also a Qualified Neutral under Rule 114 of the Minnesota Rules of General Practice available for civil and family mediation.

T.J. Conley

Minnesota Litigator Guest poster T.J. Conley is a respected leader in the areas of employment counseling and litigation; non-competes, confidentiality and trade secrets; and business disputes.  He has been practicing in these areas since 1993, both as a partner at the Minneapolis law firm of Leonard, Street and Deinard, and now in his own practice.  He is certified as a Labor and Employment Law Specialist by the Minnesota State Bar Association.

Corwin Kruse

Minnesota Litigator Guest poster Corwin Kruse is a family law attorney with the firm of Katz, Manka, Teplinsky, Graves & Sobol, Ltd. in Minneapolis.  He practices primarily in the area of family law, with a bit of animal law thrown in for good measure.  Corwin is a magna cum laude graduate of William Mitchell College of Law and a Qualified Neutral under Rule 114 of the Minnesota Rules of General Practice.  He also has a B.B.A. (Business) from the University of South Dakota, B.S. (Sociology) from the University of Iowa, and M.A. (Sociology) from Penn State.

Seth Leventhal

For the past sixteen years, Seth Leventhal has worked exclusively on civil litigation (primarily but not exclusively in Minnesota state and federal courts) on a wide variety of litigation matters, from small commercial disputes to massive multi-forum complex litigation. In 2010, Leventhal formed LEVENTHAL pllc.

Leventhal has been a Minnesota business litigator since 1996, formerly a Trial Group partner with Dorsey & Whitney LLP in Minneapolis and is a 1984 magna cum laude graduate of Carleton College in Northfield, Minnesota and 1984 recipient of a Thomas J. Watson Fellowship.  In 1995, Leventhal graduated from the University of Michigan (J.D., Cum laude, Michigan Law Review).  Following an appellate clerkship, 1995-1996 (United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit (Judge Cornelia G. Kennedy)), Leventhal has practiced civil litigation primarily but not exclusively in Minnesota state and federal courts.
