Visitacion Manuel Payne, 60, succumbed to pneumonia and several other complications on Sunday, February 3, 2013. She was born the oldest girl of eight siblings on August 18, 1952 in Isabela Province, Philippines. Vhee, as she was affectionately known, received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Manila Central University in 1977.

She immigrated to the United States in 1979 after receiving a work visa and married Lorenzo Payne of Chicago, IL in July 1980. They lived in New Orleans, LA for the next 23 years. Following the passing of her husband, she relocated with her son to Taylor, TX in 2005 in the wake of Hurricane Katrina.

Vhee is survived by her two sons Jason and Keith Payne, and one grandchild Solana Payne.

Funeral services will be held at Grace Community Fellowship in Georgetown, TX at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 9th.
