Carbon Balanced was introduced by CLEVEL in 2001 – the same time that we introduced the term Carbon Footprint to the sustainability community. It means being more than carbon ‘neutral’ on climate change. Carbon Balanced is about both carbon reduction and carbon offsetting together.
