Thanks to everyone for a great weekend had by all! Now that I’m back home and starting to decompress, I’m really starting to see how great this weekend really was. I’m glad I was there, and I’m glad everyone else was there too!
Feedback
If you didn’t have an opportunity to attend the feedback session, you can still tell us how you thought the weekend went (and be as anonymous as you please) at pi-con.org/7pi-feedback. Even if you did attend the feedback session, your responses here will be valuable in planning our future, and will give our numbers nerds some data to crunch. They love doing that.
8Pi-Con
Yes, the rumours are true: we’re taking a year off. We are currently planning on holding our next event (a.k.a. 8Pi) in 2014. From the program book:
Friends of Pi-Con,
Pi-Con has striven for many years to bring you the best experience we can. Between other conventions and lives outside fandom our senior staff have found it impossible to commit to the time needed to run a fantastic Pi-Con next year. Therefore, Pi-Con will not hold a convention in 2013.
We are in talks with hotels to secure a date for a 2014 convention, which we will announce as soon as possible. Hopefully, with the extra time gained from this hiatus, we’ll be able to once again provide you with the engaging, exciting, and overall wonderful convention experience you’ve come to expect from Pi-Con.
Please direct any questions you have about this development to any Pi-Con staff member.
Yours in Fandom,
The Pi-Con.Org Corporation
The Future
Would you like to be kept apprised of future announcements (e.g. when we can finally nail down some of these 2014 details)? Interested in volunteering or becoming staff for 8Pi? Have a Guest-of-Honor/Awesome suggestion? Fill out the 7 Pi-Con Feedback Form! It asks all these questions and more!

Volunteers Needed
Volunteering is a fun and easy way to find out what’s going on at the con, get cool freebies, and rack up brownie points with the con staff. We are always in need of a few extra folks to help us out. Sign up for volunteer hours at The One Desk.
