I'd like to be able to select all pixels in the current layer that are the same color as the pixel i currently have selected or the same as the color currently selected in the left too swatch

You can change color value by selecting color on the working palette, and choosing a new one. All pixels with selected color value will change at once. Probably this is a reason, that you wanna select all pixels with the same color value. So, in fact, this functionality is implemented in Pixen. In other reasons try to work "within some trix" using layers (duplicate and move, flip etc.).

I tend to build up loads of layers. The ability to group them would be really handy.

Please add a preference to disable the feature that automatically saves my changes to disk without asking me. This is never what I want and makes it really annoying to use Pixen in my game development pipeline, as temporary modifications to my images such as turning layers off take effect in-game immediately. I don't care if this is the new standard behavior for mac apps, it hampers my productivity. Thank you!

Normally you "replace" areas when drawing. What about blending your current colour (and opacity) with the colour that you are drawing over?

PNG exported images seem to get Apple's color profile in them. It throws the color off in other applications that recognize color profiles. Should have no color profile in the PNG images.

Have a way people can support future development of pixen without buying from the Appstore. Apple has done irreparable to the software community, killing the free software mentality and instilling a greedy ad supported or paid model. Look no further than Growl for the negative effects Apple had. As such Apple has not/isn't/will not see a single penny from me through their Appstore and their 30%/70% system. I am sure I am not alone in this view.
