As part of the 2013 Asia House Festival of Asian Literature, the only UK festival dedicated to writing about Asia and Asians, Eastside is now offering schools in London the opportunity to host creative writing workshops led by a specialist writer and exploring the festival theme of 'Freedom'.
Through Adobe Youth Voices, young people (13 - 18) use technology to create compelling videos, animations, photo essays, presentations, music, and other pieces that contribute the essential perspectives of youth to critical topics and inspire new solutions to long-standing problems.
The BFI Film Academy, delivered by Eastside is free to young people aged 16-19 and is aimed at talented young filmmakers with a passion for film. The BFI Film Academy offers a real opportunity to be part of the UK's future film industry and the opportunity to gain a Silver Arts Award. Apply now!
Translation Nation inspires children and young people to explore literary translation and develop an appetite for international storytelling and a curiosity about world literature. Our project, which scooped the European Language Label 2012 award, will begin its second phase in 2013.
Eastside has its own arts education centre; The Lower Eastside which includes a Studio space and an executive Boardroom, which are available for private hire, at competitive rates. 100% of all the income raised goes towards our work with local children and their families in East London.
