The 3rd International Digital Curation Conference

11 - 13 December 2007
Renaissance , Washington DC

Overview

With a particular focus on Digital Data Curation in Practice this conference addressed different aspects of the curation lifecycle including managing repositories, educating data scientists and understanding the role of policy and strategy.

As well as an impressive line-up of international main speakers, the conference included numerous paper presentations and a dedicated poster and demonstration session that reflected the close links between ourselves and other national, and international, initiatives and projects.

In conjunction with the US National Science Foundation (NSF), the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS), and the Coalition for Networked Information (CNI) we held our 3rd International Digital Curation Conference, entitled "Curating our Digital Scientific Heritage: a Global Collaborative Challenge," which focused on emerging strategy, policy implementation, leading-edge research and practitioner experience, and comprised a mix of peer-reviewed papers, invited presentations and international keynote speakers.

This event followed on from the Fall 2007 CNI Task Force Meeting on 10-11 December 2007 at the same venue, the Renaissance Washington DC Hotel
