Foundations of Programming with JavaScript

We’ll introduce you to fundamental concepts of development using JavaScript in this one-day course. You’ll work through the process of building a simple game of hangman and learn about approaches that will help you write more maintainable code along the way.

This training is a good fit for people who have had some exposure to JavaScript or other programming languages, but who are looking to develop a more thorough understanding of JavaScript. You should understand things like variables, if statements, and how to invoke a function in JavaScript. Still not sure? Agenda

This training is for people comfortable with HTML and CSS who want to start learning how to write programs using JavaScript. During this one-day training, you will develop the foundation you’ll need in order to start on the path of becoming an effective JavaScript developer.

You’ll learn how to:

• develop a simple, well-organized program using JavaScript
• debug your JavaScript code
• follow practices that promote code that is readable, maintainable, and reusable

This training will give you a solid understanding of core JavaScript concepts. Upon completion of this training, you’ll be well-equipped to continue your JavaScript learning, and to apply your new skills to basic JavaScript challenges.
