Search Tips:

  1. Personal names were entered as they appear in the playbills, where misspellings were not uncommon. To search exhaustively for a particular person, then, try different name variations.

For example: try both "Norma Sangiuliano" and "Norma Sanguiliano".

Also, it might be better to search for "Scarpato" when looking for both "Bob" or "Robert" Scarpato. Or try all three.

  2. After clicking on a particular playbill, you must click on the page names in the left-side menu to view subsequent pages (or photographs from the production, if available).

  3. To view information about the playbill -- including author, cast members, etc. -- you must click on the "go" button next to the "view document description" tab.

From here, you can even click on a cast or production member's name to receive all of the playbills in which they appeared (when their name was spelled exactly that way in the playbill, that is).

  4. To return to your search results, you will need to click on the "return to search results" button in the upper left corner.
