Day 2: Life on the Farm

spacer December 11th, 2012 | spacer Author: hmpcontests

Hello everyone!

Today wasn’t as eventful as yesterday was, workwise that is. It didn’t snow last night so I got to sleep in all the way to 8:30am. I got up ready to face another day. After trying to find something to eat and failing to get anything I went out to check on the dogs, put their collars on and let them out for the day. Moving on to the horses I got their hay for the day. They were so hungry that they were eating the hay before I could even put it in their feed bins. The HM animals are much more polite when it comes to feeding then real animals.

Set a new record for egg collection today with the chickens.  Got a record 36 eggs! Their food was empty though.. so most of the chickens had little speech bubbles above their heads with “…” in them. I picked them up and tossed them to the other side of the coop, hopefully they will go back to being in a good mood so I don;t have to waste 1000G on animal medicine. One egg that I used to feed the dogs with  had 2 yokes in it! That sure surprised me, I never saw that happen before. I wonder hat would have happened if I put it in the incubator lol.

After the main chores I did some work on the farm, I fixed a couple bits of fences, and also had to fix part of the driveway. After that I spent the day waiting around for the farm owners father to show up to give me some $ so I could go buy some food. He finally showed up at 4pm and I made it to town and did my shopping. After loading everything into the fridge I cooked myself some supper, put on a load of wash and showered. After the blog Im playing some music and relaxing.

Tomorrow I think I might go into the mountains to see if I can find some flowers or wild edibles to give to a farm girl who might live near here. I think if I give her something everyday we should be married by next fall! Im going to have to pace outside her door for a couple hours until 10am or later to make sure I can trigger her black heart event.

On a side note, my camera has broken so I wont be able to upload any pictures to my blog posts until after the 15th. Once I get a new one I will be sure to post some pics of the farm, animals and the surrounding area.

Thanks for reading, and be sure to check in tomorrow for the update of HMP, The Life.. Day 3

“I’m going to have to pace outside her door for a couple of hours…” lol. She won’t find that creepy at all. But seriously, sounds like another good day. I like how you’re drawing in HM references to real life.
