The Game Bakers, after spending the past couple of years working on the excellent Squids and Squids Wild West titles on the App Store, have finally announced their next project. It's called Combo Crew, and it's a classically-inspired arcade brawler like the Final Fights and Double Dragons I grew up with and love, but designed specifically with the touchscreen of mobile devices in mind.

Recently announced endless-runner Sonic Dash has been available on Pandaapp now. In Sonic Dash, you run forward through 3D environments, swiping to avoid obstacles and collect coins. You can play as Sonic, Tales, Knuckles, or Amy, and collect power-ups like coin magnets and head starts. It sounds a lot like Temple Run, just the Blue Blur transforms as always.

The Metal Slug games just keep on coming to iOS. Metal Slug X originally hit the arcades in 1999, and is actually a remake of Metal Slug 2, which itself has been available on iOS since last month. There is a new and free upcoming tweak called DirectionBar created by Rudolf Lichtner. This tweak adds a little compass icon to your status bar which updates in real time and points North. Since the tweak is always running in the background it will show up in the Status Bar while using other applications, messing around on the LockScreen and the SpringBoard.
