Bulletstorm Game Review

Thursday, April 28th, 2011

I'm an impatient gamer: A) I don't have a lot of time to play and B) I don't dwell on gay storylines or enjoy collecting shit like orbs. So I was surprised to find Bulletstorm from EPIC Games a delightful breeze of shoot em up action.

Fallout: New Vegas Game Review

Saturday, January 22nd, 2011

This is going to be a shitty review, because I hate this game. I don't get into role playing games much I don't even get into story all that much in games. I find them mostly cheesy, contrived and cliche so it's not that much of a surprise that Fallout pisses me off. It started when I bought Fallout 3 and the game crashed on me before within the first 30 minutes and just let me stuck sitting at a table at a key point in the game. I couldn't be assed starting again and I sold the game on ebay the next day.

I felt some regret I never gave it a better shot so I thought i'd try out Fallout: New Vegas as I have a rental service so I didn't have to buy it. I thought I may have more patience this time around but it appears I don't. This game blows, it take forever to do anything, forever to load when you enter a room and it's glitchy as hell. The entire game revolves around a hard to use inventory/stats system, looking for random shit and being lost, which to be is just fucking boring. LAME.

I just don't have the patience for this shit, I played it 3 or 4 times and couldn't get into the story so I sent it back. I have read a lot of reviews and they all mention how buggy this game is too, expect it to crash, lots. The third person view looks retarded and the combat system is either an auto guided system or a poor attempt at a 3rd person shooter. Lame. I spent at least an hour almost two on this game and received 10 gamer points. I require instant gratification.

3/10 Walking around forever and inventory management isn't fun.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Game Review

Saturday, January 22nd, 2011

This game is the shit. It has consumed most of my gaming time since purchase which was before christmas. Previous developers from COD: World at War - Treyarch have picked up from where publishers Activisions beaten up ex-wife developer Infinity Ward left off. Though the campaign feels disjointed much like all the new Call of Duty games; in how it switches from characters and scenarios, Black Ops is actually little more cohesive in story compared to it's two predecessors. Like all COD games, multiplayer is where it's at, an addictive mix of twitch gameplay, RPG elements with levelling up and the sweet sweet joy of unleashing massive fire power on angry kids on xbox live. Sweet joy suck on my napalm.

Alan Wake Review

Monday, November 15th, 2010

Firstly, don't be expecting game reviews whenever a new game hits the shelf unless you want to buy it for me and pay me to play it. I wish I had more time for games, so what I do play these days I am pretty picky about. Alan Wake was a nice surprise, as I actually finished it and enjoyed doing so.

Halo: Reach

Saturday, November 6th, 2010

Halo 4 aka Halo Reach is the last game in the Halo franchise to be developed by its creators Bungie before signing off the franchise to Microsoft to do as they see fit through their own studios (which I bet they will butcher). I've played Halo and Halo 3 and found the single player campaigns in both those games somewhat tedious, to the point where there was no way I would bother picking up Halo 3 ODST. Sadly Halo Reach's single player campaign doesn't deviate much from the other games.
