Welcome to Procedural Mission Generation for Grand Theft Auto

This questionnaire is part of a master thesis project that aims to provide automated mission creation for Rockstar series Grand Theft Auto. The goal of this questionnaire is to collect data about GTA players' preferences towards specific game elements. Before taking part into this survey, please read the consent form below and click "I agree" button at the bttom of the page if you understand the statements and freely consent to participate in the study. The information collected in this questionnaire will be used to improve the quality of our mission generator.

Consent Form

The survey aims to collect data about players' attitudes towards game elements such as possible actions that a player can perform and difficulty modifying elements in a GTA mission. This survey is conducted by Hristo Petev a master student in Malmo University, Sweden and this questionnairea has been approved by Malmo University.

Participation in the study takes typically 10 minutes and is anonymus. You will start by answering 2 questions about you experience with GTA. After that you will grade 24 actions that can be performed in a game's mission. Finnaly, you will grade how 17 elements make a mission harder of easier.

All data generated by the survey will be pooled and published in aggregated form only. However, individual reseponces may be used as examples. No other persons than the researcher will have access to the data that you submit.

Many individuals find the participation in this study enjoyable, and no adverse reactions have been reported thus far. With the advance of the research participants in this study may receive procedurally designed mission to play them. There is more information regarding this at the end of the questionnaire. Participation is voluntary and you may withdraw from the study at any time.
