About the iCalendar
SIDS Policy & Practice's Calendar of meetings and events is a comprehensive resource of information regarding UN and intergovernmental meetings addressing issues related to small island developing States around the world. Our Thematic Experts compile the events within the knowledgebase, and the event information is prominently featured on the site and via several of IISD's sister sites.
The SIDS Policy & Practice iCalendar allows our readers the capability of viewing our Calendar of SIDS related meetings & events in a variety of different Calendar reading applications such as:
- Apple iCal
- Microsoft Outlook
- Lotus Notes
- Google Calendar
- Windows Live Calendar
- mobile devices such as iPhone and Android
- and many more
To add the iCalendar to your calendar program, click | ICAL | link and follow a few acceptance prompts from your calendar application. The SIDS Policy & Practice iCalendar will be added as a secondary calendar within your program similar to an RSS Feed.
The SIDS Policy & Practice iCalendar will update as often as you refresh your calendar (either by synchronizing email, refreshing the calendar page, or re-opening the calendar program).
The comparison feature of your calendar application will allow you to compare your primary calendar meeting schedule with the SIDS Policy & Practice iCalendar.
