Guest Post: Adam Baker’s Shoe Collection.

Collections are a funny thing. People collect some strange stuff, from cars, to rocks, to stamps and everything in between. I would like to think everyone thinks of collections differently and that they represent different things for each person.

Until I visited etnies and looked at the company timeline, I never realized that I had shoe collection. I never made a decision to start an etnies BMX shoe collection, but apparently over time it just happened. I kept certain shoes that I really liked or reminded me of good times. Here are some of my favorite memories and etnies shoes over the past 13 years. Enjoy!

Glenn Salyers South Bend Street Edit

Glenn Salyers’ last few appearances lately have come in the form of bringing a fresh perspective to The Kitchen Contest and the Toronto BMX jam, so it’s cool to see him going just as hard in the streets of South Bend. He comes through with some good rail maneuvers and of course a couple of wild ninja drops worthy of using a Black Angels song and wearing a helmet.

Despite the contest’s ironic name, he talks about the “huge divide between the rich and the poor”, why he couldn’t even give his bike away and the general vibe of Cape Town.
