Astier de Villatte Candles: Travel The World Without Leaving Home

Where shall we go?  Let’s throw open the doors of our boutique on Rue Saint Honoré and breathe in the powdery clouds of jasmine rose and amber, deliciously wafting with the scent of leather, rising up from the warm asphalt of Old Paris.  Or, perhaps, we should go on a pilgrimage through the celestial city of Jerusalem, bounded by its ramparts; following paths to sacred sites and inhaling heavy incenses with secret emanations of cedar, wood, and nutmeg, tinged with lighter hints of resin and cypress.

Astier de Villatte, best known for their milky, one-of-a-kind ceramics, celebrates places that inspire olfactory bliss with their line of sensory-driven candles.  New to ABC, the vegetable wax collection can take you to alpine villages and cedar forests, for a night out on Broadway or an intimate evening at the opera.  With nearly two decades of expertise, founders Benoît Astier de Villatte and Ivan Pericoli blend advanced recipes to take one on a journey inducing sights, smells and sounds that define the cultural cosmos of our most fantastic global cities.  Induce your space with the soft light and sweet perfumes of handmade candles to rekindle memories and create a sanctuary that embodies the spice of life.

This morning, we started with the tasty sensation of a slice of pastiera and an espresso at Scaturchio, the best pastry bar in Naples, where delicious almond, orange blossom and Ylang-Ylang intoxicate the mind, lightened with refreshing touches of petitgrain and neroli. Cest magnifique.
