Bremen - Germany
I've been living near the river weser in bremen for the last four years and I can state that this town got some nice places. it is very green. you can reach almost everything by a short walk.

some photos. not mine, but they give a clue, what bremen is like...
just walk around the city. nothing special to see in my opinion. maybe the ostertor viertel, the river weser and the kunsthalle...

ah and the airport is just a 15mins ride from the main station or like 10 mins from the inner city. the ride to hamburg by train is 1h15mins and costs about 20euros.

Sweden Göteborg and stuff
have been living/studying in gteborg for about 6 months. "spring" term. arrived in january and spring showed its colour in late april when the snwo melted away. it is cold and dark during the winter, but I got to love that city in the summer. gbg got not as much cultural scene/live (I only liked the hasselblad centre and some little shows) or night live as sthlm (3times bigger), though being the 2nd largest city in sweden. it somehow just does not show it. anyway it has a great archipelago, you can almost reach by tram in 20mins, a great way to spend the summer weekends. I loved the cafs and little clubs at andra langgatan. shops and clothes are nice and expensive. compared to germany where I'm from cost for living is around an extra 100euros per month plus an extra 100 for accomodation.
I can totally recommend gbg if you give it a try and spend some time, especially in summer. let the city grow on you. and girls are even hot in the winter.
apart from that copenhagen and oslo are about a 3-4hours drive away. flights are cheap. it does not get boring.
jag saknar gbg.

another project, a new approach...
"S-Bahn trains in Berlin have LED-displays to announce their destination and following stop(s). In a singular moment the displays on those trains either heading to Grunewald or those passing Westhafen would announce names of those ghettos and concentration camps the Nazi's deportation trains were destined to go to. I didn't like the handling/body of the canon s1. plastic etc. the body of the fuji is great and light though. mhh.

POST
To add to the Camera buying threads
got the fuji s5100/5500. no image stabilisation. it's no point and shoot cam due to lacking a fast zoom/focus.
I would recommend a canon and spending a little bit more money.
