Sony, the PlayStation Vita can be saved - if you let us save it.

Since the beginning, it seems like the Vita has been put on Sony's backburner - the project that had so much promise and not-so-much follow through. I remember reading about the "NGP" on the front of major tech sites, but I never saw the "PlayStation Vita released" notice on those same pages. I remember seeing a preview commercial before the system came out, but I haven't seen a Vita commercial in over a year. Sony, what are you doing with my precious Vita?

I've grown up with Playstation - from trading in my consoles to get that first Playstation bundle in '95, to opening that Vita on Christmas day I was there... I've been with the community, supporting and backing it for a while now. I just wish I could say the same on the other side of the fence. Now don't get me wrong, Sony can be loyal to its customers when the mood strikes it; I've been the recipient of money back via a PSN voucher, and a few freebies from them...

As has been previously noted, my main work resides over at my dedicated Vita site, The Vita Lounge. Every week I will strive to give you a round up of what he have covered over the previous seven days, and if any of it is of interest to you please feel free to click and visit.

I will start off with the reviews we added last week. Jon reviewed the Trial HD-alike Urban Trial Freestyle and quite liked it, whilst I added an older title to the Library, Lego Harry Potter: Years 5-7. With 55 reviews now listed, we continue to grow with a New Little Kings Story, Dokuro, Germinator and Sly Cooper reviews all being worked on - and we should soon have MLB 13, Patton's Campaign and many more soon to come.

For those of you that have keen eyesight, you may have noticed that I also run my own website in addition to moderating here, called The Vita Lounge. The purpose of the site was to give you a better source of information for things coming for the Vita, as I felt that the mainstream media's coverage was rubbish. It's not perfect, but it is getting better as I get more individuals involved

Ultimately I want to grow my audience but also reward members here by inviting you to join in with my competition.

Vita sales - 62,543 in Japan (Thanks, Senran!)

Vita sales are up to a not-great but much better 62,543 in Japan this week - with Senran Kagura releasing, and the impending Soul Sacrifice release tomorrow (March 7th) for the region.

On the software front, Senran Kagura has sold over ninety-four thousand copies at retail, and is looking at around another twenty-six thousand or more digital as sales are claimed above one-hundred-twenty thousand for the title.

Also showing some guts was Phantasy Star Online 2; which sold sixty-one thousand retail copies to spite the fact that it's free to download.
