Things to consider when writing your email:
Scientists, fishermen and everyone who uses our seas spent 2 years working together on plans for Marine Conservation Zones (MCzs) in English waters. They proposed 127 sites and the government's expert advisors said this was the minimum needed for a network that would guarantee the health of our seas. What are MCZs?
But for now, the government is only putting forward 31 of the 127 proposed MCZs for protection. Do you think the government should be more ambitious? See all the proposed MCZs here.
The government has focused on the costs of Marine Conservation Zones. You may want to say what benefits you think will come from a specific site or all sites proposed for protection. Our page on why we need MCZs may help.
