Today, we decided to make brandied cherries, because they are impossible to get in London.
Of course, we ended up making 3 different kinds.
One is based on a recommendation from Felix of The Manhattans Project, the next is a syrup-style recipe from Lu Brow and the 3rd is just one we made up for fun, replacing the brandy with Knob Creek bourbon. We’ll let them sit for a month before we test them out.

This is the first one I’ve bothered to process with perspective shift (hold down and move the scene about a bit). It seems super gimmicky, and in a slightly grainy photo like this, you can start to see the trick they’re performing (sort of a blur). Can’t imagine getting a huge amount of use out of it, except for silly.
Film noir is quite nice, though. Half wish it was a cinemagraph of another time (much like Corrigan’s is), with a bit of cigarette smoke gently wafting.

And naturally a cocktail after retail. This was at the Polo bar over Mayfair way. It was… weird and the cocktails looked better than they tasted (especially for the time it took to make them).
