The widespread use of Dark Energy power creation has been with us for decades, but the story of the two best friends that are responsible for our ability to harvest the invisible majority of matter in the universe is as heartbreaking as it is important.

While most people know about the massive fight over the patents concerning the invention of radio that Gugliemo Marconi found himself embroiled in, that fight was not the most interesting one in which he participated. Instead the fight that this episode of Science Sparring Society concerns itself with involves wireless telegraphy, its security, and the first guy doing it for the lulz.

For four years now we here at ACMEScience.com have been trying to do something that very few others have ever attempted, create entertaining, insightful, and interesting content about mathematics and science. We were started by Samuel Hansen in the beginning of 2009, and since then ACMEScience has produced a pop-culture joke filled mathematical panel show, Combinations and Permutations, a show that interviews everyone from the CEO of a stats driven dating site to a stand up mathematician to Neil deGrasse Tyson, Strongly Connected Components, a show that tells the stories of the fights that behind DNA, dinosaurs, and the shape of the universe, Science Sparring Society, a video interview show that has featured predatory bacteria and crowdsourced questions, ACMEScience News Now, and a series of hour long journeys into the world of competitive AI checkers computers and stories of the most interesting 20th C mathematician and much more, Relatively Prime.
Now we are asking for your help.
Samuel has managed to do all of this in the way typical of most internet creators, in the spare time between part-time jobs, with equipment scrounged or scrimped for, and with release schedules that vary due to the various things that can take time away from extracurricular projects. This is why Samuel has come back to Kickstarter, he raised initial stakes for Relatively Prime back in 2011, he wants to take ACMEScience to the next level and make it is actual full time job for all of 2013. This means that he would not need to work other jobs, he would be able to get needed, and upgrade old, equipment, be able to travel and conduct important interviews face to face, and high quality content would come to you on a regular schedule.
What this really means for you, the media consumer, is that in the year 2013 there would be at least 26 new episodes of Strongly Connected Components, released every other week, 26 episodes of ACMEScience News Now, released on the opposite weeks, two 3 episode half seasons of Relatively Prime, with the possiblity of 10 total episodes(look at the pledge levels!), and a brand new monthly show, still in development, that will focus less on a strict format than on presenting science and mathematics in brand new and creative ways, one month could be an in-depth conversation with a science journalist about her new story and the next a radio play about a young mathematicians journey to solving his first theorem. That is 70 pieces of content that your support of ACMEScience will bring to the world.
We have been dedicated to creating mathematical and scientific content on a part-time basis for four years now, please help turn it into a full time production for the next year by kicking in some money. Oh, and please tell everyone you know to help us too(facebook and twitter seem to be good places to do that, in case you were wondering).

In 1973 Arno Peters launched an attack on most prevalent map projection in the world, a 400 year old map created by the flemish cartographer Geradus Mercator, and released his own map to replace it. It did not go exactly as he hoped.
