Welcome to the Nutrition Clinic at KU Medical Center
The Nutrition Clinic brings researchers from the KU Department of Dietetics and Nutrition together to serve the local community in a way that has never existed before. Using the latest technology and one-on-one coaching, the staff aims to assist clients in improving and maintaining good health. This is achieved primarily through body assessments and nutritional instruction to increase one's knowledge of how the human body and food interact.
The centerpiece of the clinic is the Bod Pod: a highly specialized piece of equipment used measure body composition. With precise, whole-body capabilities, it provides clients with a much more detailed picture of body composition compared with, for example, the traditional scale. By reading data such as fat percentage, total fat mass, and lung volume, the Bod Pod provides detailed information about how activity and eating habits affect body composition. And the Nutrition Clinic offers the only Bod Pod currently available to the general public in the region.

The Nutrition Clinic is located at the KU Medical Center and is managed by KU HealthPartners, Inc., a clinical enterprise operated by the University of Kansas School of Health Professions and School of Nursing.
