Exceptional Innovation (EI) used Windows XP Embedded to build a series of touchpanel controllers that work with the company's Lifeware home automation and digital entertainment software.

The Lifetouch panels features a widescreen LCD that can simultaneously display up to four HD video streams, according to the EI.

Lifetouch panels communicate over wired Ethernet with the Lifeware application running on a Media Center PC. EI says the devices are designed for easy installation either in new home construction or retrofits.
