A Comparison Of Statutes Of Limitations In Nevada And Ohio
The courts in Ohio have upheld the use of choice of law clauses by parties to a contract. See Schulke Radio Productions Ltd. v. Midwestern Broadcasting Co., 6 Ohio St.3d 436, 453 N.E.2d 683 (1983), and its progeny. A Review Of Nevada And California Homestead Laws
Nevada’s homestead law is of constitutional origin. Article 1, § 14 of the Nevada Constitution states, in part:
The privilege of the debtor to enjoy the necessary comforts of life shall be recognized by wholesome laws, exempting a reasonable amount of property from seizure or sale for payment of any debts or liabilities hereafter contracted[.]
