Q: What items do you accept for trade?
A: We accept CDs, DVDs, Video Games and Books of any genre so long as they are in good physical condition and have a current online market value.

Q: How do you assign value to the items I trade in?
A: Your trade price is based on the current online market value for each item. It has nothing to do with the popularity of an item but hard to find items can sometimes be worth more money. We accept more and pay more than anyone else.

Q: Where can I find the UPC or ISBN on my item?
A: Usually this number can be found on the back of your item, above or below the barcode. ISBN's work best for calculating the value of books and UPC's are best for all other items. If the ISBN comes up as "Unknown" please check to see if there is a secondary number on the inside cover (paperbacks) or the copyright page (hard cover).

Q: Can I just send you a list of my CDs, DVDs, Video Games & Books so you can tell me which ones you'll take?
A: Sure! Enter the UPCs into our Online Trade Calculator. PLEASE NOTE that we will have to physically inspect all of your items for condition before we will confirm the trade amount. We cannot promise to accept any items based solely on your list, but we can give each other a much better idea of what to expect.

Q: I purchased some of my CDs through a record club such as BMG or Columbia House. Can I still trade them in?
A: Yes, we will accept CDs from record clubs assuming they satisfy the rest of our criteria. Because these CDs often have an unusual UPC, they may not translate in our Online Trade Calculator. However, you can still send them in for credit.

Q: Is there a faster way for me to enter my items into the Trade Calculator?
A: Yes, if you have a large number of items we have a few shortcuts you can take to expedite the valuation process. * Use the BULK option in the calculator to cut and paste a list of UPCs from Excel or Word. If you have less than 250 line items they will process and go straight to the calculator. For more than 250 items, your list will be processed internally and an email will be sent to you with your valuation. * Get a Scanner! For only $9.95 you can request a scanner and we will ship it right to your door. Our scanners plug into any USB port of a computer to allow you to quickly scan your items instead of typing in a UPC or ISBN. When you're done, you simply mail the scanner in its original packaging along with your trade-ins. If not returned within 30 days you will be charged a $49.95 deposit to keep the scanner.

Q: Can I use titles when entering my items into the Trade Calculator?
A: No, we do not offer that service at this time. Unfortunately searching by titles is a much more laborious process. For instance, there can be many releases, editions, or gaming platforms of like titles. We want to ensure that we offer the most money for your items, and to do that, we need to know exactly which item it is; a UPC or ISBN number is individual to a specific item. We apologize for any inconvenience but this is currently the best way to get the correct value for an item.

Q: Does condition of the items matter?
A: Yes, condition is very important and can affect the overall value of your trade. We accept all genres of CDs, DVDs, Books and Video Games. Trade value is given according to each items current online market value, and is subject to the condition of the items when they arrive. Please follow the simple rules on our Conditions Page.

Q: What happens after I submit my list?
A: You will receive an email from us within 24 hrs with directions of how to proceed. If you do not receive an email, please be sure to check your spam or junk folders. For immediate questions or concerns you can contact our Trade Department.

Q: Can I use AbundaTrade.com as a fundraiser for my school or organization?
A: Absolutely! We've helped many groups raise money for their cause with our innovative fundraisers. AbundaTrade.com is unique because it's fundraising without spending a dime. Instead of asking someone to buy something they most likely don't want, see if they have a couple of old CDs to donate instead. Q: What if my books are old and they do not have a UPC or ISBN?
A: Unfortunately our company does not deal in older books and our calculator has no way of calculating a value for them. Your best bet might be to contact a book antiquity dealer to help you sell your items.

Q: Can I trade in my items even though I'm in a different state or country?
A: Absolutely, we accept trades from all 50 states. Please keep in mind that the customer is responsible for the shipping of all books and any other items that do not qualify for FREE SHIPPING. Though we are working on expanding our trade program to Canada, unfortunately the free shipping is only valid for items shipped within the US right now.

Q: What happens to trade-ins that you decline?
A: Not every item we receive is considered to be in resellable condition and are therefore considered "Declined". Customers can request the return of their declined trade items when they accept the final trade value. Each customer is responsible for the cost of shipping any declined items. If the customer does not request these items back, they will not be automatically returned to the customer. Any items that are not requested back by the customer at the time of the acceptance of the final trade value will be donated or properly recycled by AbundaTrade.com.

If the customer requests to have the declined items returned then the cost will be deducted from their final trade value. If the cost of shipping back trade items to a customer exceeds the final trade value OR a customer chooses to not complete a trade, we will accept credit card payments or a check sent in the mail to the Trade Department for the cost of shipping back the items.

Q: Can I use ASIN's in the trade calculator?
A: Yes, you can. We know there are websites out there that help you catalog your CD or DVD collection by ASIN, and you're welcome to use that list. However, UPC's are the best way to ensure that you get the most value for your items and we highly recommend using them with our Trade Calculator. If you have an extremely large collection and have questions on how best to quantify your trade value please contact our Trade Department for assistance.

Q: How long will it take for me to get my money?
A: Once we receive your trade, it will take 2-3 days to evaluate your items, afyer which you will receive a final trade value. After you accept the final amount it will take 24-48 hours for PayPal transactions to show up in your account or 7-10 business days for a check.

Q: What do I do if my payment hasn't arrived?
A: First, please make sure that you have received and responded to the email we sent you with your final trade value and how you would like to receive your payment. If you have already chosen PayPal or check and it's been longer than the allotted time stated in the question above, please contact our Trade Department immediately.

Q: How do I contact AbundaTrade.com?
A: The best way to reach us is via email. If you have a question about a trade or future trade, please contact the Trade Department. If you have a question about an item that you have purcahsed from an online marketplace such as Amazon or eBay, please contact the Customer Service Department.
