About

Updated: 4/26/2012

Well after a lot of switching (From hosted wordpress to Posterous and now back to hosted wordpress), I’m in the process of getting this blog updated. Kind of bummed that my tags / categories got lost somewhere in the shuffle.  It looks like some comments were lost as well.

This blog was originally inspired as a place to write about the lessons I learned from and with my Mom while she battled cancer.   She passed on December 18, 2005. I love her and miss her greatly, and still find myself learning from her.

I’m 30, and could best be described as an experimenter.  I’m still trying to figure out how to get all the pieces together, but I’ve spent the last 5 years getting a “practical” MBA as my friend Jerry likes to say.  I’ve learned a lot about what doesn’t work, and a lot about what does.  I’m definitely a “customer acquisition” nerd, and enjoy helping people refine their marketing approach to find new customers.

Some of the companies or projects I’ve worked on or with:

  • Cojourneo
  • LuckyLabs
  • NCSA Sports
  • Playhem
  • Jackthreads

I love talking, working, and meeting with those determined to leave their mark on the world.  Please feel free to contact me at danputt1 A T gmail . com .
